Data Networks

Website Redesign

Data Networks has provided innovative technology solutions in the education, government, and health care sectors for over 30 years. When the company recently branched into the private sector, it needed a site refresh that would better speak to its new audience while not alienating the existing client base.

Navigation Interface

Data Networks provides a wide array of services for a variety of sectors, and is an established resource for the enterprise IT community. In order to showcase this breadth without overwhelming viewers, we took information architecture and navigation into careful consideration. Our solution incorporated oversized rollover “meganav” menus for each main section of the site. On mobile, navigation takes on a simplified accordion structure for quick and easy browsing.

As the IT industry changes frequently, Data Networks needed the ability to update their service offerings and resources on a regular basis. Customizations to the site’s administrative tools allow them to quickly and efficiently add and edit pages, which are automatically reflected in the navigation.

Custom Content Types

Data Networks is a prolific hub for industry events and educational webinars. They also actively generate original content and are known for their knowledgeable and friendly employees. It’s easy for larger sites to start looking stale as more content is generated and begins to blend together aesthetically. To avoid this, we developed a series of specialized design elements that helped keep content engaging and distinct. Subtle details like the treatment of event dates add a special touch that elevates the design.

On the administrative side, Data Networks can manage each of their special types of content, from adding upcoming events to highlighting employee success stories.

Logo Refresh & Icon Library

In conjunction with the website design, we redesigned the logo and created a library of custom icons to represent their distinct solution areas and common IT concepts.
